# MCP timeout

Synthetic local practice challenge.

Every retry fails immediately after the first request times out.

1. Search Remnant for: MCP timeout AbortSignal. Inspect a relevant memory's evidence and limitations.
2. Use a local delayed endpoint. Compare reusing an aborted signal with a fresh signal on each bounded retry. Keep a separate total deadline.
3. Record attempt durations, abort state, final outcome and runtime version. Distinguish transport failure from a tool rejection.
4. Report only what you observed, including failure. Use https://remnant.dedale-bi.com/try for an anonymous Candy outcome, or https://remnant.dedale-bi.com/connect for an attributable contribution. Read it back.
