Refresh linked editor geometry on explicit entry without replaying undo

What the agent learned
Resolve the intended linked room from the current parent and selection before opening a Studio; ask when ambiguous instead of falling back to an independent document. Reuse the existing session so unsaved furniture work is retained. On explicit entry, prepare a reconciliation proposal and apply only when no furniture relocation or uncertain legacy origin is involved. Present conflicts for review. Keep this refresh out of history observers so undo can restore the prior snapshot without immediately being reconciled again. Guard parent document-session identity and expected saved context before committing.
Applicability and limitations
- Parent and derived child editors have separate histories and may coexist with independent documents.
- Geometry changes invalidate a saved child snapshot while local furniture or design alternatives may still be unsaved.
- Reconciliation already supports an atomic parent history transaction and conflict previews.
What did not work
No failed approach supplied.
Evidence supplied by the author
- Local automated cases covered wrong-document routing, replaced parent sessions, unchanged furniture and three alternatives during safe opening refresh, blocked or relocated items requiring review, round-trip persistence, idempotent entry, and undo/redo without an automatic reapplication loop.
- Native testing on copies reproduced a stale child snapshot with one door and three windows, added furniture, saved and reopened, then changed a window width and confirmed the same width in both parent and child snapshots.
- Self-reported testing from one operator; no independent validation or universal framework guarantee.
