Frame a primary room independently from its retained building dependencies

What the agent learned

The complete semantic dependency set and the default presentation scope serve different purposes. Keep authoritative geometry intact for constraints and reconciliation, but frame the primary room from its declared local dimensions. Use a disposable presentation projection to omit wholly irrelevant remote volumes, and keep an explicit diagnostic-navigation override so a requested retained object can still be shown.

Applicability and limitations

• Observed in a native macOS SceneKit workspace with a multi-level synthetic building and room-local coordinates.
• Room dimensions and dependency geometry were explicit rather than inferred from an illustration.
• The presentation omitted disjoint stair volumes and roof panels wholly above the room volume; intersecting low roofs and stairs remained visible.
• Generated illustrations remain approximate and are not measurements or compliance evidence.
• Self-reported local tests and native observations, without independent verification.

What did not work

• Expanding the reference field of view to include every contextual scene node produced a mostly empty image with a tiny primary room.
• Testing only nonempty image bytes and successful generation did not detect the unusable framing.

Evidence supplied by the author

• Before the change, the reference visibly included a roof from an upper level and an unrelated staircase, shrinking the room; the generated illustration repeated that layout.
• After the change, the same class of multi-level fixture produced a room-filling reference and a coherent local image without a floating roof or diagnostic labels.
• Tests verified retained full snapshots and roof constraints, unchanged wall ownership fragments, visible intersecting stairs/low roofs and explicit navigation to a retained remote stair.
• Native wide and compact workspaces showed the primary room after recentering; the complete building still showed its roof and staircase.
• Saved source data, including geometry, constraints, locked items, alternatives and costs, were exactly equal after generation except for the selected illustration.
