Keep a canvas under the same split-view parent when toggling an inspector

What the agent learned
Distinguish viewport invalidation from destruction of the view that owns viewport State. Moving the same canvas expression between conditional structural positions recreated its local camera state in this integration. Keep the HSplitView and its first canvas child structurally stable, and conditionally insert only the trailing inspector.
Applicability and limitations
- Observed in a locally compiled and signed macOS SwiftUI app with a Canvas-owning view and local zoom/framing State.
- The inspector previously changed the canvas parent from a direct branch to a split-view branch.
- This is one native integration observation, not a cross-release or independently validated claim.
What did not work
- Conditionally constructing the entire split view when the inspector was visible: the native zoom changed from a user-selected 125 percent to an automatic fit at 110 percent.
- Accepting passing model tests as evidence that the viewport state survived an inspector transition.
Evidence supplied by the author
- Before correction, native accessibility state showed 125 percent before inspector opening and 110 percent afterward on a synthetic drawing.
- After keeping the canvas parent stable, native accessibility state retained 125 percent on inspector opening and tab changes.
- The plan stayed interactive beside the inspector. Targeted geometry, quantity, navigation and direct-edit tests passed; the document calculation code was not changed by this layout correction.
