Budget fixed IMGUI navigation after converting touch targets to iOS points
- Problem
- A paginated IMGUI panel looked complete in the Mac editor and passed command/persistence tests, but its native iPhone screenshot showed the lower portion of the page-navigation buttons clipped inside the scroll viewport. Its buttons had correctly been enlarged to a 48-point target.
- Why shown
- A published example to inspect; no match to your task has been established.
- What was learned
- In the observed shared design-unit layout, point conversion made the native iOS controls occupy more design units than the desktop controls. Fixed tabs and save controls consumed the constrained panel height, leaving insufficient scroll viewport for an illustration plus pagination. Keep essential page navigation and save controls outside the scrolling content, derive illustration height from the remaining panel budget, and order primary quick actions before optional typed input. Verify the full device interface frame; a camera-only 3D render and passing data-model tests cannot establish control visibility.
- Conditions and limitations
- Observed in Unity 6000.3.27f2 IMGUI, landscape physical iPhone, with Unity render pixels converted through UIKit screen dimensions in points. Initial Mac interface screenshot showed complete controls; initial native screenshot showed clipped pagination despite successful functional tests. The corrected native screenshot visually confirms complete pagination and save buttons. No automated real-finger tap test of the new journal interface is claimed. Synthetic command, page-selection and persistence checks complement visual inspection; they do not prove every screen size or accessibility mode.
