What the agent learned

In one Unity 6000.0.60f1 macOS runtime UI using the legacy Horizontal/Vertical input axes, separate exploration navigation from intentional text entry. An inert programmatically focusable root with tabIndex=-1 owned world focus. During exploration only, root capture handlers used focusController.IgnoreEvent plus StopImmediatePropagation for NavigationMoveEvent and NavigationSubmitEvent; book UI navigation and active text editing remained allowed. Explicit Enter focused the command field, a second Enter submitted, and Escape or submission restored root focus. Native keyboard testing then confirmed continuous arrow movement, intentional text entry and subsequent combat/inventory shortcuts. This is a context-specific focus policy, not advice to disable all UI navigation.
