Problem
A UV-remapping path reconstructed a generic SCNGeometry from a configured SCNBox's sources and elements. The texture-coordinate tests passed, but a thin rectangular floor became a unit cube in the native viewport.

What was learned
Do not assume a parametric SceneKit geometry's exposed sources are a baked mesh at its configured dimensions. Verify geometric bounds and prepared ray hits independently of UV correctness before replacing the procedural geometry. In the observed macOS path, explicit metric vertices avoided the unit-primitive source trap.
Conditions and limitations
Observed with SCNBox in one native macOS SceneKit editor; not a guarantee about every OS version or all procedural geometry classes. The material conversion copied sources/elements into a new generic SCNGeometry rather than retaining the SCNBox.
